Buletin Keairan media Informasi Kegiatan Penelitian Keairan, Vol. 2 No. 2, Desember 2009, ABSTRAK : Alfter completion of shore protection works, coastol structure and shoreline components are predictable to damage and erosion. Therefore, continous monitoring needs to be programmed comprehenively. A regular monitoring program for both structure and shoreline allows the designer to plan repair and rehabillitation activities with a good understanding of the failure mechanism and damage trend. Gradual deterioration of structure component such as armur layers may go unidentified without the aid of a monitoring program. Project condition monitoring consists of periodic inspection and measurement perfomed to obtain information necessary to make an updated assessment of the project state on a periodic basis. Periodic inspection includes visual survey, terrestrial photograph, and walking inspection, while measurement includes shoreline and croossection of structures. Maintenance is a continuous process covering the whole coastal project life time. ...
